Sysco is a huge company that sells in bulk to restaurants and they recently launched a program known as (Sysco@Home/Sysco at Home) to deliver to homes now. We want to share our perspective as a customer to you so you can know what to expect when you shop online with Sysco!

DELIVERY IS FAST AND EASY
Sysco at home offers home delivery, making grocery shopping a breeze. When we were ready to checkout online, we were able to choose a date for delivery. We very much appreciated that on the day of delivery, Sysco headquarters called. They gave us an estimate of when our driver would arrive. Our driver also gave us a call when he was 30 minutes away as well as when he arrived.
The whole process was very smooth. Our driver left everything on our doorstep as requested. However, he was willing to help us bring the food up to our unit which was very kind considering how heavy everything was. We found the customer service to be very great and it was a painless delivery.
BUYING IN BULK = MORE SAVINGS
Sysco sells in large quantities and it might seem daunting to have to buy in bulk at first. However, the truth is this is how the savings really ramp up! Yes, you are buying 4 bags of perogies but it brings the cost to a very low cost per bag. We recommend choosing things that are frozen. This is so the food can last a lot longer. Plus, you don’t have to stress about it the food very quickly.
MAKE SOME FREEZER SPACE
Since we recommend that you buy frozen foods, be sure to have room in your freezer for the food. The day before our food was delivered, we shifted around the food in our freezer to make sure there’s enough room there.
Sysco delivered all the food packaged in boxes and we found that if we removed the boxes, it saved us a lot of space in the freezer. Everything is packaged very well. Food was in vacuum sealed bags whenever possible. This made organizing our freezer super simple! It makes us so happy to know our freezer is well stocked!
QUALITY FOOD, EXEMPLARY TASTE
When we tried the lobster bisque, it felt like we were eating at a restaurant! The quality was absolutely spectacular! We were impressed by all the flavor in the soup. Even though it was previously frozen, we couldn’t tell that it was previously in the freezer. It was just like the fresh stuff.
All the other things we purchased like shrimp, perogies and steaks were all excellent quality. It was on par with nicer grocery store level quality yet the prices were far lower.
